The Perfect Ideal for Eyelids
There are two types of headlight eyelids on the market. Polyurethane (Carbon Fiber or Paintable) and ABS Plastic (Paintable or Carbon Fiber).
POLYURETHANE
Polyurethane is the one we sell. It is a flat flexible polyurethane eyelid which goes over the headlight by doubled sided adhesive tape on the back. It is not a 3D molded piece which clips on top of the headlight and goes under the hood. The eyelids are laser cut by a laser machine with specific molds designed by CNC specifically for every car model. It works like a sticker but it is a physical flexible plastic piece.
Benefits of Polyurethane Eyelids:
- Flexible.
- Looks flush to the headlight and body of the car.
- Lifetime warranty against defects.
CARBON FIBER
We also sell High Grade Carbon Fiber. Carbon Fiber Eye Lids have the same benefits as Polyurethane Eyelids.
ABS PLASTIC
ABS Plastic is a 3D molded piece which looks very bulky and does not lay flush to the body of the car. They are made overseas without any precisions because they do not have actual vehicles to test it on and usually fit poorly.
Disadvantages of ABS Plastic Eyelids
- Bulky and do not like flush to the body of the car.
- Constantly fly off your car on the highway.
- Cracks during hot summer days and cold winters.
- Extremely thin plastic.
- Gets bubbly from the heat of the sun and loses shape.
